Description

Moxifloxacin Injection | For IM / IV Use Only
MOXIPERA Injection – The 4th Generation Power Antibiotic.
Different from MOXIPERA-Advance Bolus, this is pure Moxifloxacin injectable for fast action.
1. Description
MOXIPERA Injection is a potent, broad-spectrum bactericidal antibiotic containing Moxifloxacin – a 4th generation fluoroquinolone. It was developed by addition of an azabicyclo substitution at C-7 with a methoxy group at C-8 position, which gives it a broader spectrum than older quinolones.
It has improved in-vitro activity against Gram-positive cocci, Gram-negative bacteria, aerobic, anaerobic intracellular bacteria, as well as atypical organisms such as Mycoplasma and Chlamydia.
It acts by inhibiting bacterial DNA topoisomerases II and IV, resulting in rapid bacterial death. Due to excellent tissue penetration and long half-life, it reaches high concentration in lungs, udder, uterus and soft tissues.
Target Species: Cattle, Buffalo, Goat, Sheep, Pig, Horse – as shown on your pack.
